Coalescence Dance Company is a contemporary/jazz Seattle, WA based collective of dancers founded in 2019 by Brittany Parker (formerly Mattox). Coalescence was born out of the desire to create an accessible schedule and curate opportunities for the professionals that moonlight our Dance Careers.We are made up of lawyers, teachers, women in STEM, college students, and parents that have all craved a continuation of a professional dance career that doesn't risk sacrificing time in other equally important aspects of our lives. Additionally, we strive to make participating in the professional dance community more accessible to artists by not requiring things that bring a socioeconomic barrier to dance in the first place, such as audition fees, headshots and resumes at the time of audition, and by offering by-donation opportunities for community members to train with us throughout our season in open company community classes.
